James is a Certified PRISM Practioner. 

Based on his broad ranging experience across the public and private sectors, James retains one fundamental belief, that positive step-change is always driven by great talent, teams, cultures and communities.

Beginning his career with over a decade in the UK Civil Service, James enjoyed a variety of roles at the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Home Office operating in international and domestic security, defence and intelligence.

As his career progressed, he guided change programmes in digital transformation, people strategy, and estates. James managed and developed internationally distributed teams and held accountabilities for training design and delivery.

To support these roles, James completed training with a specific focus on building successful relationships (in the cross-cultural, multi-jurisdictional context), mediation, effective communication, team development and change management.

In 2020, James left the Civil Service to join a data privacy consulting and technology company, of which he took over as Managing Director in 2022. The time since has encapsulated experience across a range of key functions, such as sales and marketing, strategic leadership, product development and mergers and acquisitions.

James continues to pursue his own personal development keeping up to date with the latest thinking in leadership, performance, resilience and change.
